Project Overview

Chair inspired by the Mexican game "la tablita mágica". Users can fold it to save space, even hang it as decoration.

Brief

Integrate TEC museum, the exhibition and users through a foldable and eye-catching device able to optimize the available spaces (common areas, offices, dining room and corridors); based on previous designers such as Enzo Mari or Gerrit Thomas. By developing a device capable of enabling different functions for diverse users in a functional and aesthetic way.

I created a device made of recycled wood which is able to be used as a chair or as a stool depending on the user, also, it takes advantage of each of the rooms of the museum because it will be hung or hidden (folded) to not take up space.It will play with the duability that exists between a retractable chair, taking advantage of the excellent aesthetic and functional design of the zig zag chair.
